Kansas City Community Church, 5901 Leavenworth Road, Kansas City, KS
Church History

Kansas City Community Church (KCCC), was founded in 1911 as a rescue mission for unwed teen mothers. This early social service ministry eventually became the mission-centered Freeman Avenue Church of God, located at 1060 Freeman Avenue in Kansas City, KS. Several pastors led the congregation over the years.
Then, in 1986, Rev. Dr. Richard D. Prim, Sr. and family moved from Indianapolis, IN to Kansas City and ushered the church into a new direction. In 1998, Freeman Avenue Church of God acquired a deserted bowling alley and converted it into a modern, progressive worship center. On New Years Eve 1998, Freeman Avenue Church of God became Kansas City Community Church.
And the rest is HIStory!
Today, Kansas City Community Church continues to "rescue" those who need to experience the love, acceptance and forgiveness of Jesus Christ!
